The 48-Hour Diagnosis That Reveals Why You Aren't Scaling
This is the exact 4-step audit we apply in the first 48 hours to any new account to discover where the budget is bleeding.

This is how we diagnose any ad account in the first 48 hours:
Step 1: Fix tracking first
Start by auditing tracking. The Event Match Quality for the purchase event should be above 9.0.
If it isn't, stop right there. Fix this first. Any decision based on bad data is a bad decision. Meta needs to know exactly who is buying, or the algorithm will operate blind.
Step 2: Set up your columns properly
Meta's default metrics are useless. Make sure to set up your columns in this exact order: Budget, Purchases, ROAS, Cost per Purchase (CPA), Spend, Impressions, Reach, Frequency, CPM, Link Clicks, CTR, Hold rate (retention), Scroll stopper rate, Cost per Click (CPC), Landing Page Views, Add to Carts (ATC), Cost per ATC, Checkouts Initiated, Cost per Checkout Initiated, Conversion Value, AOV.
Step 3: Read Frequency first
Before looking at ROAS or conversions, look at your Frequency.
- Below 1.3: Means "Top of Funnel" (cold traffic).
- Above 1.8: Means "Bottom of Funnel" (aggressive retargeting).
This tells you exactly what level your ads operate at before reading any other metric. If a fake retargeting ad is "stealing" credit, here's where you find out.
Then, read your funnel from left to right. Each metric is a stage of the customer journey. When performance breaks, the columns show you exactly which step people dropped off at.
Step 4: Review your budget distribution
Finally, evaluate where the money is going. Are the right ads getting the most spend? Or do you have a losing ad eating 60% of the daily budget while your highest-ROAS ad is underfunded?
This audit takes just an hour and reveals far more about an account's health than most agencies would manage to uncover in a month. The data is always there. You just need someone who knows how to read it.
Let's talk about how to apply this to your business.
